O'Hare Airport, Chicago, Illinois
The currents, eddies, and vortexes that shape wind and weather patterns around the globe also have a direct impact on air travel in ways that are both supportive and disruptive. This artwork is a representation of the dynamic air currents that oscillate between stable and turbulent wind conditions. The piece is constructed entirely of formed aluminum elements, sculpted to evoke the flow of a steady breeze in a field. This large sculpture is situated in the newly expanded O’Hare Airport Transit Hub.
